Help on using this Wiki

Finding your way around

The search bar is a helpful tool on a large wiki, but for this wiki it is borderline useless. If you know what you are looking for , then by all means use it. For browsing however, the All Pages-page might be more useful.

Editing

You must be logged in to edit this wiki. If you have an account in the nUbuntu forums, you can log in using that account. Some pages requires special access to edit, not available for regular members.

The nUbuntu Wiki is based on MediaWiki, the same as Wikipedia and many other Wikis out there. If you are familiar with Wikipedia and MediaWiki then you can easily use and edit this Wiki.

If you are not familiar with either of them, then there are many tutorials available freely on the internet, this being one of them.

The easiest way to edit and use Wikis however is to use what has already been made. Copying layouts from other parts of the Wiki and learning by looking at the source is by far the best and easiest way to learn. Again, Wikipedia and other Wikis are good sources. Just make sure that the content is freely released, like in this Wiki.
